We started the winter with 100 excited attendees coming to our Kick Off Meeting. And we kept going from there!
1,000 Ducks signed the petition for 100% clean electricity and our Hunger and Homelessness campaign fundraised $4,000 for Huerto de la Familia and Food For Lane County. We also donated to Stop AAPI Hate to help fund support and activism against Asian and Pacific Islander hate.
We brought the support of UO students to our elected officials with dozens of meetings! We presented the thousands of petitions you all signed and the 100 faculty in support of textbook price transparency. Students testified and advocated to elected officials for programs supporting student’s basic needs and doubling the Pell Grant. Pell is the foundation of college aid for over 7 million students annually, including nearly 60% of Black students and nearly half of Hispanic students.
The Student Loan Bill of Rights passed out of committee thanks to your support! This would provide support for students with loans from the state of Oregon.

I’m excited to see what spring term holds! We’re the generation that’s building a future powered by clean energy, where students don’t have to pay hundreds of dollars for textbooks, and no one is hungry or homeless.

This term we’re going BIG for Earth Day on April 22 with a statewide rally featuring environmental justice advocates and youth activists.
Sign up here if you’re looking to get involved this term in our campaigns for 100% clean energy, alleviating hunger and homelessness, and affordable textbooks.
Thanks for your support,
