Providence Customers May See Rates Rise As Much As 18.6%
More than 12,000 Oregonians with individual health insurance plans will see rate hikes of 15.7% on average, and as high as 18.6%, if the premium rate hike posted today by Providence Health Plans goes forward. Many customers will also see increased out-of-pocket costs.
Joining agencies including those that regulate cars (NHTSA's safercar.gov), toys and other consumer products (CPSC's saferproducts.gov), medical devices (FDA's Maude) and airline service (DOT's sorta clunky Air Travel Consumer Protection Report), today the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau rolls out a searchable online complaint database (goes live 8am EST). The CFPB's new tool will be limited to credit cards to start, but other financial products will be added. More from Ylan Q.
