Pledge to Ask 5 Professors to Sign the Open Textbooks Statement

On average students spend $900 a year on textbooks! And without checking the out of control practices of textbook publishers, prices will continue to skyrocket!  Help make textbooks more affordable by asking your professors to sign a statement of support for cheaper alternatives already available!

Textbook publishers have been doing everything in their power to drive prices higher. They bundle textbooks with those useless CDs and passcodes, they issue new editions to make used books impossible to find, and they keep professors in the dark about how much they charge students!
Professors are just as sick of these practices as we are. Over 300 have already pledged their support for cheaper alternatives such as open textbooks. But to really put the pressure on publishers to lower textbook prices, we need a lot more support!

Help make textbooks more affordable by asking your professors to sign our open textbooks statement today! www.maketextbooksaffordable.org/statement
